NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO the residents of Belle Plaine Township. The filing for candidates for Belle Plaine Township to be elected on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 will be open on Tuesday, July 30th and close on Tuesday, August 13th.

The following offices will be open for election :

  • Supervisor “A” – 4 year term
  • Supervisor “B” – 4 year term
  • Treasurer – 4 year term

Residents may file an Affidavit of Candidacy and pay the $2.00 filing fee with the clerk at 25640 Laredo Ave., Belle Plaine, MN 56011.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO the residents of Belle Plaine Township. The filing for candidates for Belle Plaine Township to be elected on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 will be open on Tuesday, August 2nd and close on Tuesday, August 16th.

The following offices will be open for election in 2022:

  • Supervisor “C” – 4 year term
  • Clerk – 4 year term

Residents may file an Affidavit of Candidacy and pay the $2.00 filing fee with the clerk at 25640 Laredo Ave., Belle Plaine, MN 56011.

Election Information 2020

The next Township elections will be held on:

  • March 3, 2020 (Presidential Primary Nomination)
  • August 11, 2020 (Primary Election)
  • November 3, 2020 (General Election)

Voting takes place at the Belle Plaine Township Hall located at 25130 Hickory Blvd., Belle Plaine, MN 56011. Polls will be open from 7:00am until 8:00pm.

Absentee Voting is handled by the County Election Auditor. Please check with her at scelections@co.scott.mn.us, or 952.496.8161.

In case of inclement weather, State Statute allows for the Election to be postponed. If this is the case, we will make every effort to notify residents with a posting on the home page of the website and also in the Belle Plaine Herald. If a postponement occurs, the election will be held at the same time, just one week later.

Candidates who are residents of Belle Plaine Township may file by appointment with Clerk – Kristy Bieder, at her residence.  Appointments may be made by calling 651.307.0101.

2020 Elections:

  • One Supervisors (4 year term)
  • Treasurer (4 year term)

Candidates may file in person or by mail. Candidates who will be absent from the state during the filing period may arrange to file prior to departure.
